“NEW DEAL OF INNOVATION IN EUROPE”
November 23rd to 24th, 2022.
But how did it all start?
At the Start for Future Summit 2022 leading decision-makers from the worlds of politics, science and business gathered under the motto “New Deal of Innovation in Europe” to shape the future of European innovation ecosystems, start-ups and co-creation. European Union Commissioner Mariya Gabriel presented the EU’s
New European Innovation Agenda.
At the Start for Future Summit, organised by the Hochschule München (HM), the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) and the International Start for Future Alliance (SFF), more then 350 on-site participants and another 350 online guests gained insights into Europe’s path to becoming a leading player in the global innovation scene.
Participants from 8 regional start-up ecosystems, so-called innovation valleys, Start-ups and industry partners like PwC, Zeiss, Celonis, Siemens brought their ideas to life through hands-on co-creation between start-ups, deep tech valleys and cheered the winners of the Strascheg Award.
The Greek ecosystem was represented by AUEB, ACEin, Athens Digital Lab, University of Macedonia and start-up team Hearthy. ACEin is an active partner of Start For Future via the EUAcceL initiative, which consists of several higher education institutions (HEIs), their incubators, a research and development
center, start-ups, and established industry partners. It aims to accelerate innovation in Europe through open innovation, co-creation, and start-up development founded by the EIT. ACEin is also a key partner of the EUFORIA project, Education Framework for Urban Resilience Innovation Activities, supported by EIT.
ACEin and its role within the Athenian, Greek and global ecosystem was presented by Vasiliki Koniakou. ACEin best practices and its involvement with entrepreneurship and innovation were highly appreciated by the participants. Many partners were interested in the way an incubation center is built and its relationship with students, researchers and the University.
