ACEin supports potential young entrepreneurs and researchers in order to turn their innovative entrepreneurial ideas or scientific research results into a sustainable business model and subsequent a start-up company as well as large organisations to tackle specific business problems by collaborating with start-ups and tech-talented people.

Katerina Pramatari

Katerina Pramatari

Scientific Coordinator

Katerina Pramatari is an Associate Professor of the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and Scientific Coordinator of ACEin, the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at AUEB and responsible for the ELTRUN-SCORE research group. Since January 2018, she has been a Partner at Uni.Fund, a new fund with the participation of the European Investment Fund (EIF) as part of the Equifund initiative to support new startups and spinoffs. She holds a B.Sc. in Informatics and M.Sc. in Information Systems from AUEB, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management also from AUEB. She has received various academic distinctions and scholarships and has published more than 100 papers in scientific journals, peer-reviewed academic conferences and book chapters. Prior to joining the academia, she has worked as systems analyst and assistant brand manager at Procter&Gamble. In parallel to doing her PhD and growing-up two daughters, she was heavily involved in the setup of a B2B e-business startup that is now an established company. Over the last years she has supported several teams in the setup of their own ventures and has been among the initiators and supporters of various activities fostering youth entrepreneurship.

Angeliki Karagiannaki

Managing Director

Dr. Angeliki Karagiannaki is a part-time Lecturer for the “Design thinking for Innovation” and “Electronic Commerce and Internet Applications” modules at the Department of Management Science and Technology of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a part-time Lecturer for the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” module at the Department of Informatics of AUEB. She is also a founding member and the Managing Director of Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (www.acein.aueb.gr), the incubation center of AUEB. She holds a PhD from AUEB with a thesis entitled “RFID-enabled Supply Chain Process Redesign using Simulation” and a Masters in Management Science and Operational Research from Warwick Business School. Her research interests lie in innovation and entrepreneurship, ICT entrepreneurship, research commercialisation and innovation for supply chain management. In the last years she has had active participation in several national and European research projects. Angeliki has published articles in academic Journals, such as Journal of the Operational Research Society, Computers in Industry, Industrial Management and Data Systems (IMDS), as well as in conferences, including the Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems (MCIS), the International Annual EurOMA Conference, the Summer Computer Simulation Conference (SCSC), the European Conference on Modelling and Simulation (ECMS), the European Conference in Operational Research (EURO). Angeliki is also a member of the Advisory Committee for Research and Innovation in Attica Region, that is the advisory body that provides strategic advice and recommendations to the Regional Governor of Attica. She has published a book in Greek titled “Quantitative & Qualitative Business Process Modeling”.

Head of Technology Transfer Office

Stratos is a researcher at heart and holds a Ph.D. in the field of Innovation Ecosystems and Entrepreneurship from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, and an M.B.A. In the past he was worked in business and marketing consulting as well as market research and strategy. He was also involved on business development, R&D, and exploitation projects as a project manager for large international firms and research institutions. He has had significant experience consulting and coaching startups at ACEin - the incubator of AUEB. Currently he trying to solve a conundrum: “How can one support researchers to become successful entrepreneurs”.

Vasiliki Chronaki (MSc, PhD Candidate) works as the Head of Incubator Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin) which is facilitated in the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds a Master degree in Management Science and Technology (MSc) from the Athens University of Economics and Business, and a degree in Financial Management and Engineering from the University of the Aegean.

Marianna Galani (MSc) is the Project Manager of the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin), the Incubation Center of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She holds a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a post- diploma in Services Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business. She has worked for two consecutive years at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of the Athens University of Economics and Business as a Communications and Event Management Officer and she has also attended with scholarship a one-year program organized by AUEB on Social Entrepreneurship.

Chief Financial Officer

Angelos holds the role of the financial officer at the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He studied Accounting and Finance at Athens University of Economics and Business. Alongside his studies at AUEB he started working at his family's accounting firm. Wanting to explore other career possibilities and paths he studied and acquired a Master's degree in Energy Studies at the University of Piraeus in 2016. By adding new services, such as business consulting, financial project management and payroll services he grew his family business to an organization that provides professional accounting and business advisory services. Finally, since 2021 he is an accredited mediator by the Greek Ministry of Justice.

Vasiliki Koniakou

Law and Technology Expert

Vasiliki has a bachelor’s in Law from the Faculty of Law of the National Kapodestrian University of Athens, and a Master’s on International, European and Comparative Law, majoring Law and Information Society from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tuku, in Finland. In 2021 she completed her Doctoral Studies, funded by the Academy of Finland, writing her dissertation on Internet Governance, Digital Constitutionalism and Human Rights online. Throughout her studies she has researched issues related to Internet Governance, privacy, data protection and freedom of expression, as well as the intersection of Internet Governance and fundamental rights, and the normative aspects of technology. Her current research interest is centred around Artificial Intelligence, the legal and ethical challenges in engineering and technology development, data trading and data sharing, and children digital maturity. She is also a Data Protection Officer and a passionate Privacy and Ethics in Research and Technology advocate. Since 2018, Vasiliki is a Research Fellow at the ELTRUN Lab of the AUEB, working in several EU funded Research Projects. She also offers legal counselling and workshops on issues related to law and technology, law and innovation, privacy, and Internet law.

Lila Despotidou

Innovation Commercialization & Business Development

Lila Despotidou holds an MSc in Applied Linguistics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA) and is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). Her research interests lie in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, research commercialization and business ethics. She has participated in research projects of UoA, AUEB and the Stevens Institute of Technology, USA and in 2020 she joined ELTRUN as Researcher. Since 2018, she has been working at Uni.Fund, an Athens based Venture Capital Fund supporting tech-transfer and innovation and investing in start-ups and spin-offs at pre-seed and seed stages of development. At ACEin, Lila supports research commercialization and networking initiatives.

Andreas works as a Startup Teams Growth Specialist at the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He graduated as an Electrical and Computer Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens. In search of his career and throughout his studies he worked in several companies and different fields like construction, fashion as well as education while he also volunteered in fundraising and event organization positions. A couple of years later he realized his flair for an entrepreneurial career. In 2015 he became the Co-Founder of a start-up (Agritech Industry) while 5 years later the second one (Fashion Industry) followed. Since 2017, while working on his own businesses, he started working as a technology and strategy consultant in innovation and technology organizations as well as an adult educator. Finally, he managed to earn a spot on this year's 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 List!

Rania Lianou works as a Communications Manager for the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin) which is facilitated in the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds a degree from Université de Savoie Mont Blanc in Communication, Information & Hypermedia and is currently completing her MA in Communication & Advertising. Rania has a broad experience in communication with several clients, developing a communication or an outreach strategy, organizing events, managing the production of different promotional material including printed material, websites and documentaries, developing and maintaining media relations and media content in addition to different tools of assessing the impact of communication activities and overall campaigns in general. Implementation included all areas of integrated marketing communications including production of promotional material, events management, media relations and corporate social responsibility.

Mara Doukidi is a creative and business consultant specializing in branding, strategic business development & marketing. She holds a BA(Hons) Product Design degree from Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London) and a MSc in Marketing from Alba Graduate Business School (The American College of Greece). Her work experience expands in the retail & consumer goods field, with specialization in the global food & cosmetics market. The last 6 years she has owned a consulting & design studio with a variety of clients. She has also provided business & branding services for the development of start up & spin off companies.

Asterios Poulios is currently studying at the Athens University of Economics & Business, in the department of Business Administration. At the same time, he is a member in the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (ACEin), as an Event Manager. His objective is to develop as many skills and knowledge as possible, as well as to deal with business-related issues. The path of entrepreneurship and innovation of this began with him participation in the 3rd Inter-Departmental Entrepreneurial Assignment (IDEA), in which him team came in the 3rd place, and since then he is trying to be as close as possible to innovative environments. Also, he is a graduate of Ant1 Media Lab from the department of public relations and communication, as well as a graduate from IEK Delta of the Chef department. He has many years of experience in both professional areas.

Despoina Adamopoulou is currently studying in the department of Marketing & Communication at the Athens University of Economics & Business and has also spent a semester in Prague University of Economics & Business as an Erasmus student. She is the Co-Founder of Hearthy, a start-up which aims to utilize human hair waste into creating an innovative, composted fertilizer. During her student years, she has been involved in a variety of volunteering actions, her interests lie in strategic marketing, business analytics, project planning and customer experience, while she has previous experience with social media management.

Junior Project Manager

Christina works as Junior Project Manager at the Athens Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She graduated as a Social Anthropologist from Panteion University. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Policy. Her research interesting is related to gender equality, the reduction of discrimination, and equal opportunities for everyone. She has attended several seminars about gender equality, anti-discrimination, and project management. In search of her career and throughout her studies she took part in an internship program at the National Center of Social Research as a research assistant and translator. She worked as an administrative assistant at Challedu NGO for a couple of months and as a volunteer translator at Symplexis NGO. In addition, she took part in Research Fellowship Program at the European Institute of Policy Research and Human Rights (eiprhr)®. Finally, since June 2022 she has been working at Hellenic Open University as a researcher and junior project manager.

Project Manager

Sofia works as a Junior Project Manager for the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin), which is based at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds an Integrated Master's Degree in Spatial Planning and Development Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master's Degree in Environment and Development from the National Technical University of Athens. Previously, Sofia has also gained experience as an Environmental Scientist, participating in EU-funded projects. Her professional background includes working in the FMCG industry, specializing in e-commerce.

Administrative Assistant

Stamatina Chrysocheri is currently studying Business Administration at Athens University of Economics and Business. Concurrently, she has a part-time position at Athens Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation| ACEin. In addition, she is interested in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation and thus has participated in a business idea development program, ''Y.E.S.'' in 2022 and other activities. During her involvement with volunteering at ACEin she takes part in different groups such as sponsorships, social media, event organization etc.

Rania Lianou works as a Communications Manager for the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin) which is facilitated in the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds a degree from Université de Savoie Mont Blanc in Communication, Information & Hypermedia and is currently completing her MA in Communication & Advertising. Rania has a broad experience in communication with several clients, developing a communication or an outreach strategy, organizing events, managing the production of different promotional material including printed material, websites and documentaries, developing and maintaining media relations and media content in addition to different tools of assessing the impact of communication activities and overall campaigns in general. Implementation included all areas of integrated marketing communications including production of promotional material, events management, media relations and corporate social responsibility.

Mara Doukidi is a creative and business consultant specializing in branding, strategic business development & marketing. She holds a BA(Hons) Product Design degree from Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London) and a MSc in Marketing from Alba Graduate Business School (The American College of Greece). Her work experience expands in the retail & consumer goods field, with specialization in the global food & cosmetics market. The last 6 years she has owned a consulting & design studio with a variety of clients. She has also provided business & branding services for the development of start up & spin off companies.

Asterios Poulios is currently studying at the Athens University of Economics & Business, in the department of Business Administration. At the same time, he is a member in the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (ACEin), as an Event Manager. His objective is to develop as many skills and knowledge as possible, as well as to deal with business-related issues. The path of entrepreneurship and innovation of this began with him participation in the 3rd Inter-Departmental Entrepreneurial Assignment (IDEA), in which him team came in the 3rd place, and since then he is trying to be as close as possible to innovative environments. Also, he is a graduate of Ant1 Media Lab from the department of public relations and communication, as well as a graduate from IEK Delta of the Chef department. He has many years of experience in both professional areas.

Despoina Adamopoulou is currently studying in the department of Marketing & Communication at the Athens University of Economics & Business and has also spent a semester in Prague University of Economics & Business as an Erasmus student. She is the Co-Founder of Hearthy, a start-up which aims to utilize human hair waste into creating an innovative, composted fertilizer. During her student years, she has been involved in a variety of volunteering actions, her interests lie in strategic marketing, business analytics, project planning and customer experience, while she has previous experience with social media management.

Junior Project Manager

Christina works as Junior Project Manager at the Athens Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She graduated as a Social Anthropologist from Panteion University. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Policy. Her research interesting is related to gender equality, the reduction of discrimination, and equal opportunities for everyone. She has attended several seminars about gender equality, anti-discrimination, and project management. In search of her career and throughout her studies she took part in an internship program at the National Center of Social Research as a research assistant and translator. She worked as an administrative assistant at Challedu NGO for a couple of months and as a volunteer translator at Symplexis NGO. In addition, she took part in Research Fellowship Program at the European Institute of Policy Research and Human Rights (eiprhr)®. Finally, since June 2022 she has been working at Hellenic Open University as a researcher and junior project manager.

Sofia works as a Junior Project Manager for the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin), which is based at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds an Integrated Master's Degree in Spatial Planning and Development Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master's Degree in Environment and Development from the National Technical University of Athens. Previously, Sofia has also gained experience as an Environmental Scientist, participating in EU-funded projects. Her professional background includes working in the FMCG industry, specializing in e-commerce.

Stamatina Chrysocheri is currently studying Business Administration at Athens University of Economics and Business. Concurrently, she has a part-time position at Athens Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation| ACEin. In addition, she is interested in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation and thus has participated in a business idea development program, ''Y.E.S.'' in 2022 and other activities. During her involvement with volunteering at ACEin she takes part in different groups such as sponsorships, social media, event organization etc.
