Launch of the "CARPET-RIDE" project


Description: 

The CARPET RIDE project (Creating A Roadmap for Pro-environmental Entrepreneurship, Towards effective Research & Innovation Diffusion through commercial Exploitation) aims to: 

    1. 1. to define and describe the characteristics that publicly funded innovative pro-environmental projects must possess to produce exploitable research and innovation results that can in turn lead to commercial exploitation.
    2. 2. the creation of a self-assessment tool for new pro-environmental entrepreneurship innovations.

Methodology:

Mixed methodology was chosen as the research design for this project. Qualitative and quantitative research methods will be combined in order to describe the characteristics that publicly funded pro-environmental innovations should possess. 

Intellectual Outputs: 

The intellectual outputs of the project are indicated: 

  1. 1. the existence of a thorough and scientifically based analysis of the factors that explain why some previous pro-environmental projects have not generated exploitable research and innovation results.  
  2. 2. using the self-assessment tool, future projects and actions with a pro-environmental focus will be able to identify their current situation and receive specific advice and guidance to produce exploitable research and innovation results. This will aim to create the necessary means for subsequent business efforts to design, develop, and deliver the necessary solutions that can contribute to the achievement of international environmental protection objectives.
